The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. This program provides therapeutic services for young men and women between the ages of 18 and 25 with mental health challenges.  The program is designed to help the young adults referred by the Department of Mental Health develop independent living skills, healthy relationships, personal independence, and the skills to manage their illness. This program offers Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Peer Support and utilizes Supported Employment and Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) as the treatment models. The program also utilizes the Recovery Oriented Cognitive Therapy Model (CT-R) to help staff support the young adults living in this program develop meaningful life goals that align with their treatment. The CT-R model uses interventions such as engagement, guided discovery, and building meaningful activities and relationships to help the individual define what recovery means to them and increase community integration to prepare for independent living.

The Bridge provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU’s, and opportunities for advancement. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education.

Awake overnight counselors provide support to individuals at the program.

Overnight staff must have the ability to remain awake and alert during the overnight shift.

Awake overnights are responsible for providing a safe, secure environment for the individuals we provide services to.  Awake overnights may do some basic housekeeping, filing, medication counts, and administer medications.  Awake overnights need to be alert and able to respond to any issues that may arise.
