The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. This program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and significant medical challenges. Individuals are in residential services, supported housing, or home sharing depending on their needs. The focus of this program is to offer a home to individuals and to avoid nursing home placement. Community inclusion and maintaining relationships with family members and significant others is the primary focus. Individuals are referred by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
The Bridge provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU’s, and opportunities for advancement. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education.
Awake overnight counselors provide support to individuals at the program.
Overnight Counselors must have the ability to remain awake and alert during the overnight shift.
Awake overnight counselors are responsible for providing a safe, secure environment for the individuals we provide services to. Awake overnight staff complete basic housekeeping needs, filing, medication counts, and administer medications. Awake overnights need to be alert and able to respond to any issues that may arise.
