This service supports older individuals with intellectual disabilities and significant medical challenges. The focus of this service is to offer a home to individuals and to avoid nursing home placement, and offers specialized personal care to each individual. Community inclusion is also a primary focus, as well as maintaining relationships with family members and significant others. Residents are referred by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
Residential Counselors provide support, guidance, advocacy, case management, and empowerment to the adults served. This program requires hands-on care with Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) including personal care and hygiene.
This program is a female only staffed program.
