This service supports older individuals with intellectual disabilities and significant medical challenges. The focus of this service is to offer a home to individuals and to avoid nursing home placement, and offers specialized personal care to each individual. Community inclusion is also a primary focus, as well as maintaining relationships with family members and significant others. Residents are referred by the Department of Developmental Disabilities.
Awake overnight counselors provide support to individuals who live in the program.
Ability to remain awake and alert during the overnight shift.
Awake overnights are responsible for providing a safe, secure environment for the individuals we provide services to.
Awake overnights may do some basic housekeeping, filing, medication counts, and may administer medications. Awake overnights need to be alert and able to respond to any issues that may arise.
This program is a female only staffed program.
