Overview

The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. The mission of Safe Homes is to create safe and supportive services for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth where they feel supported in all aspects of their identity. Safe Homes is a program designed to support gay, lesbian, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 14-23. Safe Homes hosts a weekly Drop-In Center where LGBTQ youth can receive services from professional and volunteer staff. Much of the Safe Homes programming is led by youth, who help plan and implement the Drop-In Center.

 

The Bridge provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU’s, and opportunities for advancement. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides some tuition reimbursement for continuing education. 

Responsibilities

The Assistant Program manager will assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Safe Homes Drop-In Center as well as provide oversight for all Peer Mentors and Adult Advisors. Duties also include completing billing and grant reporting requirements and providing training as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Services related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience working with LGBTQ youth.
  • Candidate should have supervisory experience.
  • First Aid, CPR certified or certifiable. 
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • 20 years of age.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or HiSET. 
  • Eligible candidate must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word.
  • This is a part-time position.
