This position is half-time withina residential treatment program in Gardner Ma. that provides a therapeutic living environment for six men and women living with serious and persistent mental illness. The other part of the position includes providing DBT to the mental health outpatient community. The purpose of the program is to teach, advocate for, and support adults to manage their mental illness. All individuals are engaged in developing their independent living skills in order to live successfully within the community. The program has 24 hour staffing. This program uses Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as the primary treatment model and can offer Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Cognitive Restructuring for PTSD, Supported Employment and Peer Support as supplemental treatments as necessary and appropriate.
The Clinician will provide oversight of all clinical components of the residential program under the supervision of the North County Division Director and DBT Director. In addition, the Clinician will provide DBT clinical services to program residents including individual therapy, informed family work, and skills training, as well as coordinating individual treatment with residential counselors, and other community-based therapists and service providers. The Clinician will be part of the North County Adult Mental Health Division on-call rotation.
Master’s degree and licensure required (LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC). DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) experience preferred, but not required. Experience facilitating groups and formulating treatment plans also required. Applicant must possess skills in the areas of comprehensive assessment, leadership, staff training and development, time-management, and effective verbal and written communication. Experience with a recovery focused approach to mental health treatment preferred. Eligible candidates must be MAP (Medication Administration) certified or certifiable. The Bridge provides MAP training.
