The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. The ABI programs located in Lunenburg, Fitchburg, and Gardner serve women and men with acquired brain injury requiring residential support with their physical, medical, and emotional challenges. Services include community integration, and development of social and leisure skills. Hands-on specialized personal care assistance, including transfers and lifting, are also be provided by the direct support professionals. Clinical and nursing supports are provided on site.
The Bridge provides excellent supervision, as well as various training and advancement opportunities.
Relief workers provide support, guidance, advocacy, and empowerment to the adult women served. Relief workers are responsible for the day to day operations of the program. Responsibilities include providing transportation, meal preparation, medication administration, behavior intervention, basic housekeeping, documentation, recreational activities, and all other duties as assigned by supervisor. Duties include hygiene (personal care), lifting, assisting with transfers, and assisting with group therapy.
