The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. This residential program provides services to five adults with intellectual disabilities who present with complex mental health and behavioral challenges. The home has a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) milieu where the entire program experiences a DBT culture designed to shape individuals toward increased independence and self-reliance. The goal is to assist the individuals to make progress in the areas of personal safety and gain better control of their emotions and behavior. An on-site day program offers each individual a structured routine of skill building activities.
The Bridge provides excellent supervision, as well as various training and advancement opportunities.
Relief workers provide support, guidance, advocacy, and empowerment to the adult women served. Relief workers are responsible for the day to day operations of the program. Responsibilities include providing transportation, meal preparation, medication administration, behavior intervention, basic housekeeping, documentation, recreational activities, and all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
