  • Overview

    The Lunenburg program is a four person home serving women with acquired brain injury requiring residential support with their physical, medical, and emotional challenges. Services include community integration, and development of social and leisure skills. Hands-on specialized personal care assistance, including transfers and lifting, are also be provided by the direct support professionals. Clinical and nursing supports are provided on site.

     

    Our agency provides excellent supervision, as well as various training and advancement opportunities.  Our agency is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides some tuition reimbursement for continuing education.

    Responsibilities

    Senior residential counselors are responsible for organizing and supervising all scheduled shift activities, supervising staff on shift, maintaining a caseload, and having on-call responsibilities.

     

    Daily, direct care duties include hygiene (personal care), lifting, assisting with transfers, medication administration, documentation, assisting with group therapy, transportation, behavioral intervention, role modeling, and recreational activities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services/Social Services related field preferred.
    • Experience and/or internship with intellectually disabled adults.
    • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED/HiSET.
    • Must be 20 years of age.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word.
    • CPR, First Aid, and MAP (Medication Administration Program) certified or certifiable.
    • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and/or commensurate experience preferred.
