The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. This high intensity DMH-funded residence serves six adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. This structured residence is designed to assist individuals with previous attempts at community living to learn new skills that will help them to be successful in the community and prepare them for transitions to less restrictive environments. This program offers Peer Support and utilizes Supported Employment and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as the treatment models.


The Bridge provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU’s, and opportunities for advancement. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education.


Senior Residential Counselors are responsible for organizing and supervising all scheduled shift activities, supervising staff on shift, maintaining a caseload, and having on-call responsibilities as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a Social Services related field strongly preferred, plus a minimum of two years’ experience working with adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. 
  • Eligible candidates must be at least 20 years of age with a current, valid driver's license and a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. 
  • Eligible candidate must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft word. 
  • Candidate must be medication certified or certifiable (MAP).
