  • Overview

    The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. A new 6 bed mobile respite and site based residential respite program is opening. It will be located in Gardner, Ma. In addition to providing on site mobile respite services, the program will also work with individuals in the community providing short term support services. These services are meant to identify and asses the immediate needs of the individuals referred by DMH, and provide short term support in achieving their more immediate needs.

     

    The Bridge provides excellent supervision (both individual and group), as well as various trainings in which to obtain CEU’s, and opportunities for advancement. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education. 

    Responsibilities

    The primary functions of an Assistant Program Manager are to provide administrative assistance to the Program Manager, supervise program staff while on shift, and provide structure while delegating shift responsibilities and activities. In addition to these responsibilities, the APM may provide counseling services to individuals, as well as serve as the primary supervisory/authority figure in the absence of the Program Manager. This position has on-call responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Social Services related field strongly preferred, including two years of experience working with adults living with serious and persistent mental illness. 
    • Eligible candidate must have supervisory experience and knowledge of assisting individuals in educational or vocational programming. 
    • Candidate must be at least 20 years of age, have a valid driver's license, and be able to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word.
    • Candidate must be First Aid, CPR, and Medication Administration Program (MAP) certified or certifiable.
