The School^House program is an approved Caring Together Group Home Program for youth ages 8-13 referred by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Department of Children and Families (DCF). This program utilizes evidence-based treatment models to assist youth in moving home or to foster/adoptive homes. The Bridge provides training and consultation on several of these evidence-based practice models, including Wraparound and Experiential Learning. Additional training opportunities are provided to clinical employees for CEUs needed to maintain licensure. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides tuition reimbursement for continuing education.
The clinician provides leadership of all clinical components of residential and home-based services including: screening and assessments of youth served, providing individual, group, and in-home therapy, and providing crisis intervention. The program has a strong emphasis on including families whenever possible; therefore the clinician will provide family therapy to the youth and families both in the program as well as in the family’s home. The clinician will periodically be on-call as a part of the division on-call rotation. The clinician is expected to work collaboratively as a part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and monitor individual treatment plans (ITPs) and coordinate care with youth and families. Other responsibilities include providing supervision to the program’s treatment coordinator, participating in weekly clinical supervision and agency clinical consultation meetings, and supervision of clinical interns as appropriate. The ideal candidate is someone who is flexible, collaborative, and has strong communication and leadership skills.
Master’s degree with LICSW or LMHC required. Expertise in mental health treatment of seriously emotionally disturbed children or adolescents and their families. This position requires the ability to work effectively with many agencies including; DCF, DMH, and educational facilities. Candidates must be flexible and available to work evening hours as well as have a reliable vehicle.
