The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. The Lunenburg program is a four person home serving women with acquired brain injury requiring residential support with their physical, medical, and emotional challenges. Services include community integration, and development of social and leisure skills. Hands-on specialized personal care assistance, including transfers and lifting, are also be provided by the direct support professionals. Clinical and nursing supports are provided on site.

 

The Bridge provides excellent supervision, as well as various training and advancement opportunities. The Bridge is an eligible employer for the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program and provides some tuition reimbursement for continuing education.

The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. This program is a four-bed residential treatment program for women funded by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC).  The home is fully accessible and provides residential support to women with physical, medical, and emotional challenges. Hands-on specialized personal care, including transfers and lifting, are provided. The program utilizes a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) treatment model which focuses on emotion regulation, behavioral stabilization, socialization skills, and life skills development.

The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. The Southboro program is a high-intensity residential program that is a comprehensively staffed and supervised apartment-style residence serving men and women with chronic mental health challenges and a history of substance abuse, who have had difficulty adjusting to community living. The program goal is to assist adults in managing their illness, developing independent living skills, and managing their sobriety. The Department of Mental Health refers individuals to the program.  The Southboro program uses the Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) and Supported Employment treatment models.

The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. The NCR program provides a therapeutic living environment for young men and women between the ages of 18 and 22 with mental health challenges. The program goal is to help young adults referred by the Department of Mental Health to develop independent living skills, healthy relationships, personal independence, and the skills to manage their illness. The program has an on-site clinician and vocational day programming. The goal is to teach the skills necessary for the young adults to live independently. The program utilizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) as the treatment model.

The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. The Bridge operates more than 45 programs, including residential programs, special education services, supported housing, and community based counseling. We provide services and support to individuals whose challenges include serious and persistent mental illness, complex family problems, substance abuse in combination with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, self-destructive behavior, depression and social withdrawal, psychosis and related confusion, behaviors related to past abuse, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, complex learning disabilities, and serious emotional and relationship instability. We provide individualized state-of-the-art treatment, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), Adventure-based therapies, dual diagnosis treatment, and vocational skills training.

The Bridge is a human service agency that provides counseling services to people facing challenges. Master's-Level internships are designed to provide students with a more intensive experience in milieu treatment, individual therapy, family therapy and group therapy, clinical consultation, treatment planning, clinical documentation, individual and group clinical supervision, crisis intervention, case management, and collaboration with the greater mental health provider system. A minimum of 12 hours per week for 9 months is expected for Master’s-Level placements.

  

In addition, due to the implementation of Evidence-Based Practice models throughout the agency, students wishing to focus on a specific model of treatment are able to do so. These include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Illness Management and Recovery, Supported Employment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Individuals with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Wraparound.

 

 

SUPERVISION

Students will be provided supervision based on the requirements of their degree program. Supervision will be provided in both one-to-one and group formats. 

 

The Bridge offers licensed supervisors with extensive experience and advanced degrees including MSW and Counseling Psychology. In addition, LMHC or LCSW licensed supervision may be provided. 

 

Each intern will develop an Internship Training Plan with their primary supervisor that will be reviewed at regular intervals throughout the training placement.

 

Evaluations will be provided for each student as required by the academic institution.

 

TRAINING

The Bridge provides agency orientation, professional development, and advanced clinical trainings. In addition, all students are invited to attend workshops offered by our Training Institute.

 

Students will participate in structured learning activities throughout their placement. They may attend professional development trainings offered to all Bridge employees, as well as Evidence Based Practice training series.
